Bay Area Restaurants Partner with SFSF to raise $10,000 for Central Italy Earthquake Victims

On August 24, 2016, a deadly earthquake struck the Central Italy region, devasting small towns and killing 247 people. Slow Food was founded in San Francisco, and Slow Food San Francisco’s Founder, Lorenzo Scarpone, was born in Italy and is part of the thriving Italian-American culture in San Francisco, so naturally, we have deep connections to the area.

San Francisco Slow Food’s Advisory Board members quickly mobilized, and together with various restaurants, our community helped to raise $10,000 to give to victims in the area.
